Community Involvement

Asset building is an ongoing process. Once you have or develop an asset, it is not forever. Assets are dependent on the amount and quality of your relationships as well as consistent and reinforced messages that are nurtured during your lifetime.

Become involved, learn more about assets, and teach others about the power of building youth together as a community.

Building Youth supports all Bernards Township organizations that want to learn about and build assets. Some programs we currently support include:

• GiveBACK Program
• Teen Volunteer Fair
• Block Parties and Progressive Dinners
• Asset Building Presentations to Youth and Adult Groups
• Neighborhood Coffees
• Activities with other Township Departments

Since the assets promote positive development and help protect youth from negative influences and situations, Building Youth is represented at the monthly Municipal Alliance meetings.
