Environmental Education Center

Adopting a pet is a lot more than going to the pet store with a wallet full of money. It is a responsibility that should not be taken lightly. Mini-Grant funds were used by the Environmental Education Center to help support the Responsible Pet Care Series, a program created to promote greater accountability in pet ownership among children and adults in the community. The focus of the program is an increased understanding in children, adolescents and adults about making smart choices in regard to pet ownership, both before becoming a pet owner and while caring for a pet.
