Albrook School - "We Learn to
Love the World"
Each
year, the Albrook
School develops a
community service project which aims to improve the lives of children. Mini-Grant funds were used to ship books,
health kits, blankets, toys and pen pal letters to children who were impacted
by the Tsunami in southeast Asia. One teacher writes, "This project [helped] our
children realize that they can and do make a difference in our world, whereby
one child is directly helping one child . . . the children can envision a sense
of purpose; they can realize that one of their key roles, as a world citizen,
is to provide kindness, compassion, and love during a critical time of
need."
